For the record, who's answering the interview?

STILLNES

Victor, guitar player from Stillnes.

What is your band's name? How did you come up with that name?

STILLNES

Stillnes. It all started in an English lesson where me and other student were thinking about how could we name the band. Being an English class we picked up the dictionary and started looking up for words that could make a good name. Stillness had the opposite meaning for what we were but that calm also was part of our music as we felt that way when we finished a show: that physical and mental Relief. Then we dropped the one of the ending "s" and took it as our flag.

So who's in the band and what instruments do you each play?

STILLNES

Quique (vocals and bass guitar), Víctor (lead guitars), Jesus (lead guitars) and Bastian (drums)

How would you describe your sound. What makes you unique?

STILLNES

We play an old school thrash metal, trying to make something new and fresh, respecting the roots of the genre. We sing in spanish and usually use al lot of different influences from another styles, even ‘flamenco’

What bands have influenced each of you?

STILLNES

Thrash metal made up from the influence that each of us have but based on our common likes such as Metallica, Sepultura, Pantera, Anthrax, Testament, Slayer…

How experienced are you on the stage, a virgin or whore?

STILLNES

The veteran whores of our city! The stage is our habitat. Our music is pure live show and we give it all on each concert.

How would you describe your shows?

STILLNES

Pure energy. We transform us, madness invades us and we try to create a powerful and amusing show.

Tell us about your favorite show and why?

STILLNES

It’s difficult to choose one. All shows with great bands and great people are perfects!

Tell us about your worst show and why?

STILLNES

With the last band formation I think the worst show was our concert in Málaga (Spain). Everything that could go went wrong. Our car broke down. Our bass player broke one string, There was no chorus mics and drum carpet… A disaster, but we made it a great show ;)

Tell Us About Your Dream Show, who you'd like to play with and where?

STILLNES

A big stage with tons of sound watts and thousands of people enjoying and singing our songs.

Do you have a street team and how can you join?

STILLNES

It’s hard to have a real street team. A lot of people support us, but there are hundreds of bands in our scene, and fans listen a lot of different music without focusing on a particular band.

Do you have a record label and if not are you looking for one?

STILLNES

We have not a record label. It’s not like some years ago. Labels don’t sign with you, they only offer deals that you have to pay, including recording, edition, promotion… But it’s expensive and it isn’t worthwhile

What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?

STILLNES

For 2015 and 2016 we want to present our new album “Sin Destino” with a lot of national and international shows. We hope to continue growing and and publish the next album soon.
